Endometriosis also reacts to hormonal signals of the monthly menstrual cycle by building up tissue, breaking it, and eliminating it through the menstrual period. Since prostaglandins inhibitors help to reduce the muscle contraction of the ovary and stop the menstrual cramp, it may cause mineral deficiency in some women. Intake of prostaglandins inhibitor may increase the risk of gastro-intestinal disorder. Extra bleeding in the stomach together with the heavy menstruation cause heavy loss of iron in our body resulting in iron deficiency related anemia. A blood test may be required to verify the doses because iron deficiency causes weakening of immune system while overdose have the opposite effects.
